Pat;

     If you like we can talk over the phone. Just contact me on the message board and I will give you the #. There's a lot you can use for shaping paper that seem to amaze folks.

Hi,

Thanks for the tips.  I have a couple pre-dreadnaught paper models that I hope to some day give a try.  Your tips sound like they would come in handy,

Pat

Card Buildings for All-Weather Use??

Here's a new one too.

      Recently our Rail Museum( Of which I am now president of the Board) received some " G" ( Garden) scale buildings. There is a Coffee Shop ,a Church and lastly a nice Victorian style house. Would you believe the donator said they could be used out in the weather?

       I didn't think they could until I remembered a trick I used some years back for a Paper( Card) model of a Sailboat. When Building it and after completion I sprayed it with Craft clear spray and then Semi Gloss clear paint. It still exitts today( somewhat worse for wear) and still sails. I need to fix a dent in the bow, but There you have it. If they would just do more cars.

 Cars are not that hard and getting the curves right, can be done with a hot spoon. Well hot spoons of various sizes.
