Suggestions for red on the ARC 170
Posted by PatlaborUnit1 on Friday, August 22, 2008 8:40 AM

Im about to start the RoG ARC 170 fighter and am looking for a deep red shade.

I don't want to use common Gaurds Red, or Insignia red, those are too easily identified.  I will be using Panzer interior buff as my white color.

I dont want to custom mix because I have had just too manhy problems with repaints that dont match.

any suggestions for a deep red?

thanks~

David

David,

I don't have the paint chart in front of me but you might look at the Polly Scale (or Floquil) railroad colors line. They have a bunch or company specific reds. I've used their stuff before to match non-military colors.

Excellent idea!

The most common red found on boxcars may be just what I need!

Hey David. Good to see you around.

What type of paint are you using, acrylics or enamels? What's you preferred brand?
