Looking for AMT original parts
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, February 22, 2003 10:42 AM
Hello, I am seeking parts and pieces for my original AMT Star
Trek Enterprise and Klingon ship. These are the 1966 issues
that are in the long box with lights. Decals, battery clips, etc are
what I'm seeking. Any thoughts or ideas? I've got a posting on
Starship Modeler, but thus far; no results. Where should I look
or post to find them? I've heard of a parts "boneyard" but I do
not have the address and/or cannot find it. Thanks for helping!

You might try a search on E-Bay. Ive seen a original kit there a time or two.

I think I have the decals, but can't guarantee them at their age. E-mail me if you'd like them.

Estes used to have a flying version of both ships. You might try them to see if they have decals available. They used to sell them.

Actually. I would recommend going to www.federationmodels.com they have lots of aftermarket decals there, much better than the OEM stuff. If you don't mind waiting you could also go to www.thomasmodels.com.

Fed models is a great place with excellent service. JTGraphics makes beautiful decals, I'd highly recommend them. As for Thomas models, I understand he's having problems filling orders.

JBOT decals makes beautiful scifi decals-try culttvman's online hobby shop, or starshipmodeler.com.  Lots of goodies!

"no, honey, of course that's not another new model. I've had that one for a long time..."
