Absolutely beautiful; kit. personally I'd be more inclined to worry about the decals. As for Sub assemblies I would do the wings first and get the decals well set down and weathering done.

I don't have any photos of theh one I done as It sold quickly and I have another two.

So to answer properly, get each wing section complete before assembling the "X" then you should be on the way.

Good luck and please post photos, I'm really interested in how people approach thisd kit.

Terry.

I've got a few tips, check rysh4 on this forum. Will the wings be open or closed?

I honestly have no familiarity w/ that kit but...

When building any kit, I usually assemble as much as I can before the painting process. In many cases, you have to paint some things before assembly (like the cockpit for instance).

That's what I would do: build as much of the kit as you can (you'll have to be the judge of where that line is), sand and fill the seams, then paint.

What I would do is test fit the wings to the body. If they are a tight fit, and you don't need any filler to get gaos to disappear, then go ahead and paint the sub assemblies first.

Fine Molds X-Wing Anyone Built This- Advice Please!

I'm currently putting together a Fine Molds 1/72 X-Wing and I'm in a bit of a conundrum about the painting process (being a newbie and all!).

If anyone one has built this kit would you recommend painting all the individual parts for the wings and then glueing the, all the wings, or glueing everything to the wings and then painting the wings complete?

I intend to paint fueslage and wing assemblies seperately before joining the two- is this the best way to go?

 Many Thanks.
