Well, all the eye candy aside, I always enjoyed Voyager more than the others because it was a little more like the Original Series. ie. "Seeking out new life and new civilizations and boldly going where no one has gone before". I really did like TNG, but I don't really think the whole series was based on an exploration mission, per say. At least that was my take on it.

But the fact that Voyager was in the Delta Quadrant (which was widely unexplored) it seemed to me to be more to the heart of what Star Trek was really about. My $.02...

Warmest regards,

Roger

Of course with the end of the series years ago, that is probably wishful thinking. Isn't it?Sigh [sigh]

I agree, I too thought Voyager was the best of all the various ST ventures. I loved STG, but when Voyager started I thought it had better writers and a more interesting story line. They were suppose to make a movie about Voyager but I have heard nothing since the cancellation.

My only concern with this new ST Movie is the Enterprise looks larger than the original ship which would be hard to fit into a pre A movie. It does look cool though. I would like to see a good old fashion war movie during the era when the Federation was at war with the Klingons.

I am not sure about a ST: Voyager but may be a movie about Deep Space Nine.  I think that would be cool.

I cant get over the "new" look of the "old" Enterprise.  The premise behind the new look is that the Big E was BUILT on earth, at San Fran.  And then after the mission set forth in the movie, it was REFITTED in the orbital San Fran Yards, prior to the 3rd R-yr mission that the TOS crew took them on.  So this would have been the look of the ship "allegedly" when Pike and April had it, and how it looks when Kirk first took command. But, IMHO, I dont like the look of the bridge.  To me, it looks more advanced that the Enterprise E in Nemesis.  Same thing with the NX-01 bridge.  To advanced to be PRE-TOS.

This movie is going to with the Kirk crew and when they first started together.Basicly as the ship gos it will be a blend of the old enterprize and the A enterprize together. The bridge will look like nothing from the old enterprize at all. Also as the story gos they are off to fight a guy named Nero from the old series, who looks like a Romulan....Digger

Not much here. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's supposed to be a movie with the original crew (new cast though) during the earlier days of Starfleet. But I could be totally wrong...

Does anyone really know what this one is about?  I heard rumors about a year ago but seeing an Enterprise either A or even before A then the rumors were wrong.  Very curious.  This clip is also available on the Ironman DVD.

Wow, she looks great!

I'd sure love to see more of Voyager though. I know the series ended years ago with the return to Earth, but I loved that show more than all the others in the Star Trek Franchise.

Besides, where else are we gonna see more of Seven Of Nine?Tongue [:P]

Regrettably,it seems that the only way (for certain) to see what the new/old Enterprise will look like, is to bear the long wait for the movie.

Though personally,I'm hoping it bears a striking resemblance to Gabe Koerner's "re-imagined" vision of the Enterprise. Wink [;)]

While that opening on the bottom of the saucer looks like a spotlight, I didn't notice the dorsal having the thicker base like the previous movie version, so I'm betting torp launcher.  That's also one of the spots the torps launched from in TOS.

As far as kits, last I heard they were going to re-release the original kit from the 60's.  Too bad if it's true, unless you're wanting to customize like crazy to match the new movie.

I'm assuming you're talking about Gabe Koerner's rendition of the Enterprise.

Big and beefy!Looks like it was designed to go out looking for a fight.Definitely a more military look.(IMO)

Hopefully,someone will do a 1/1000 and 1/350 kits of it (hint,hint Wink [;)]).

Go to google, do a search for "new enterprise" and click on "images" at the top of the toolbar.  I learned from a very reliable source (Actor Zachary Quinto, who will play Mr. Spock in the new movie) that these images are very, very close to (if not exactly) what we'll see onscreen in May.

"no, honey, of course that's not another new model. I've had that one for a long time..."

To me,it looked like the Enterprise-A type flood lights.

It's anyone's guess what the old girl is gonna wind up looking like.My 2 cents [2c]

Did I jusat see the torpedeo tubes or light system of the Enterprise A when they did the frontal shot of the saucer?

My question is...

Will there be a kit of the new/old Enterprise after the movie's released?

(1/1000 would be good.1/350 would be better!IMO) Big Smile [:D]

According to Star trek "History" the first Capt. of the Big E was Capt. Robert April.  During the Second 5 yr. mission.  Then something happened (Romulan War) Capt Chris Pike (aka) Jeff Hunter. It's kinda fuzzy, but I guess thats good.

Hi Folks,

I normally hang out in the Ship modeling section but am a fan of the Star Trek series.  I was emailed this a few days ago and it's probally old news to the BB but a few may not have seen it.

They don't give you more than a taste and tease but boy it looks great so far.
