Roswell Crash Scene
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, November 17, 2003 9:56 PM
I am interested in Building the Roswell Crash Scene 1/48 scale by revell. Has anyone built this kit? is it worth the money? I have known about this kit for some years, just finally found someone who has one for sale, cheaper than the $65 I have seen it for in the past?
Any feed back please?
Thanks all...

I have one myself I bought years ago. The whole deal is resin and the details very crisp.
The Roswell UFO vehicle was slightly warped in some areas but easily fixable with a little heat from a hair dryer. I haven't assembled my kit yet but just dry fitted stuff to see how they go together.
Expect the expected for a resin kit.

I have not done a resin kit yet? I am a very exsperienced modeler of plastic. Is resin easy to work with? Does it take the same paints and glues?

Use cyanoacrylate aka CA or aka Superglue. To assemble resin kits.
If you know how to trim flash from styrene parts to clean them up, then you won't have a problem with resin.
