Kitbashed a rock?
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, November 20, 2003 9:40 AM
Quite a few years ago, say about 30, I remember getting together with a couple of friends and building an "Asteroid space station". Basically it was gluing a variety of parts that looked good together onto a rock (maybe fist size).

I haven't done such a thing since then, but I am curious if anyone else has done something like this.

Man that IS a cool idea, and so simple.
"Jason of star Command"...ah the memories. Me and a friend were just discussing that show over lunch a couple weeks ago. I didn't even remember the name of it until he told me. I thought no one remembered that show. Though I don't remember none of the details only that the main character had a little autonimous white robot [who looked like a wind up toy] that he kept in a breast pocket. I am not alone.lol

I had to actually look that up. Though I don't remember 'Star Command, I have to admit it looks like what we did. Maybe one of my friends watched it and got me interested.

The fun thing at the time was you had to have the right rock otherwise it just didn't look right. Also, most of the models we used were white so it made things easier.

I remember using elmers glue, so one thought is that it might have been done in a class room.
(no teacher in their right mind would let kids sniff glue!)
