GAO GAI GAR!!!!!!!
Posted by Puma_Adder on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 3:49 PM

stand by for info on this project. I have to switch from home to work. back in 20 min.

EDIT- Sorry bout that....

Now, what was I thinking....... Oh yeah, that was it.

This is a WIP that my friend Gundamu (this is his finescale name) started around the time he first got on Island (here in Okinawa). It is the 1/144 Aoshima GaoGaiGar w/ Dividing Driver. this thing is about twice the size of the RX-78 gundams of the same scale,  making it about the size of a 1/144 perfect zeong. I stood it next to my MG Hi-Nu and the dang thing is the same hight! It is pretty much assembled, so all I have to do to it is clean, fix and paint. I also get to do a little wip on the Dividing Driver. I just wish it came with the Goldion Hammer! however, it didn't so I will have to settle for the Hell and Heaven finishing move. If you have not seen GaoGaiGar, i recomend it if you like some light hearted fun and a ****** load(pardon my Marine mouth) of hot-blooded, giant robot kicking Kaiju @$$, action. all in all one of my favorite anime right now. King of Braves GaoGaiGar is made by the same company as Transformers.

Some people spend their whole lives wondering if they made a difference. Gundams don't have that problem.

If at first you do succeed, try to hide your astonishment.

No problem! I love this bot and its pilot cause they usualy dont just beat up the bad guy of the week, they rip them apart and then rip out the core! then the light hearted stuff kicks in again but thats OK.

the kit needs some parts cleaning and refinement but I am going to try not to ruin what my friend did and make this guy look as close to the show as possible. I am even going to try and paint the Hell and Heaven hands so that it looks like he is preforming the attack. I also need to firm up the joints on him, so if anyone has some suggestions on how to do that, I would be greatful. I snaped some pics and got some reference pics last night so I hope to start on him a little bit tonight. here is the box art, I think.........

I will Try to post some pics as soon as I can.

EDIT#2- here is one of the opening songs for the show. it is for the OVA GaoGaiGar FINAL.

here are a couple of pics I snaped this morning before I went in for work.

As you can see, I put my 1/144 Guncannon in the second pic to give you an Idea of how big this guy is for a 1/144 kit.

more to come,
