Beautiful work, sir!  Thanks for sharing!  Love the work you did on all of those, particularly the Viper and the ID4 Attacker.

Sorry, SG, forgot your other question.  The Raider was straight from the box, including decals.  I finished it before the Viper so instead of the rescribed lines, I just used a pencil to darken the raised lines of the kit.  The closest to "custom" was to fix the same problem with fragile decals that I had with the Viper, patching any gaps with black paint.

Thanks for the comments!

SG, the sludge wash is recipe is something I have to look up here everytime I make a batch.  I think it's something like 15% Polly acrylic, 30% dish soap, and 55% water.  Speaking of which, it's easier for me to get Tamiya than Polly around here.  Anyone know if switching brands would work or if a different mix is needed?  Last time I crossed brands of paint and thinner it turned the paint to gel.

Cosmic, the base coat was spray silver.  Gold was used for the engine vents and recessed areas.  Silver areas were covered with a black wash ( except the raised lines ) and further "tarnished" with a couple coats of Tamiya clear Smoke.  Recessed gold "seams" between the large sections got a Hull Red wash and clear orange overcoat.  A layer of dullcote finished it up.

Oh, and the B-wing's stand: that was from the original snap kit.  Except for the one with both the Viper and Raider, these pictures are taken at the local hobby shop where I have offered to help "advertise" for the hobby by displaying kits there.  Unfortunately, there's a bar right next door geared for the local college crowd and a fight there ended with a guy going into the shop's window one night.  I was lucky the B-wing wasn't destroyed and only the stand was damaged.  I just havent gotten around to replacing it yet.  I'm going to have to completely replace the stand for my Cylon Basestar that was damaged in the same incident and am taking advantage of the repair time to completely repaint it as well.

Yeah, that alien fighter kicks butt. How'd you paint it?

The stand on the B-Wing is visually interesting too. Did you come up w/ that, or was it in the kit?

More pictures please! Big Smile [:D]

Wow, that alien fighter is cool!  And I love that raider too.  are those the normal markings on the wings?  And I saw the pics of your fighter in your last post, how do you do that sludge wash cause it looks good?

If at first you do succeed, try to hide your astonishment.
