1/1200 Vintage Bandai Mousai
Posted by smeagol the vile on Thursday, December 18, 2008 1:43 AM

I got most of the 1/1200 scale ships back when I started, snapped/glued them together, no paint, no seams filled.  They look like crap.

is how the mousai looked.  I got tired of looking at it, it was the only one that I liked that didnt have a piece or two broken.

I took her down and started.  After poping everything off, I sanded her smooth and started filling seams.  Then priming, them seams, then priming, untill I am wher I am now.

Its sitting on my other current wip, a vintage R2 from the degoba playset.

I wana get all the kits, especially the efsf battleships, to do them all right.

It wasn't much of an escape pod, gundam usualy blasted the things to tiny little bits before they new what the heck was going on!

Still, it's looking great! keep it up!

Some people spend their whole lives wondering if they made a difference. Gundams don't have that problem.

well it wasnt much of an escape pod actuially.  The mousai was unable to enter orbit.  the Zanzabar was the only Zeon ship that could enter orbit, besides their pods, and the Zanzibar was not much of a combat ship.  The pod was a atmospheric entry shuttel so that personal and troops could land on the surface.

Did you change the color or is it just a lighting difference?  Pretty nice musai you got there.  You should put a clear red/pink acrylic rod through it and attach a 1/144 (i actually loved that HGUC gundam) or 1/220 Gundam at the other end for that perspective look for a gundam action diorama~  =P

Just a lighting change.  Any gundam would be way WAY! to big for that.  that ship is really 1/1200.  See the little thing the bridge is sitting on, that has enough space in it to cary 3 Zakus.
