This took up a wee bit of my time at the bench in 2008.

Big Smile [:D] Very realistic, nice paint work and good proportions on the sculpt. Nice.

Where would you display a model that big?

When not wearing it,I stuff it in a big, plastic bin.Except for the Gaffi stick. That goes in the closet.

I don't get it! Since when was the Toys for Tots program a joint operation with the Marine Corps and the Imperial Army?!?!?!? Did I miss some sort of cease fire? Just goes to show you that you tend to miss so much when you are out on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan...Banged Head [banghead]

Kidding aside, that is very cool! Had I seen that 20 years ago, I would have been thrilled to pieces just to have been thereWink [;)]

Warmest regards,

Roger

Boba Fett is by far one of the more difficult costumes from what I've seen.Modeling skills are a BIG,BIG plus.Lot's of weathering and battle damage.I built a custom Mando for my wife.Much simpler but still a lot of work.

Very, very nice!  You all look great!

I sure hope I can finally finish my Boba by the end of next year.  I've given myself a deadline, I hope to be able to make it. ;)

Not sure.  I know the 501's standards can be a bit exacting.  While I don't plan on doing a custom, I will be mixing parts from Empire and Jedi.  I'm not sure if that would pass inspection.

excellent work trooper!  Need a bit more MiG pigments on the gaffi tho.....maybe its the light LOL

We have four custom Mando's and one Fett signed by by Jeremy and Daniel in our Garrison. What does your wife have for her Mando?

and yeah guys, Fett IS one of the hardest costumes to do .  A lot of guys get started and give up halways  in.....sound familiar??!??

I acutally got some real modeling done this weekend with no trooping. Whoo hoo!

I didn't pattern her costume after any specific character. But all the colors used are based on Mando culture.Between people not being able to use a camera and Walgreens screwing up the film,I really don't any any good pics of her costume.I'll get some eventually.

BTW,I had a three day weekend and got plenty of time in at the bench.I'm putting the finishing touches on a 1/35 Zvezda Ba-10m.

Also, what do you think about the Gaffi stick?Any ideas on improving it?

no suggestions here on the Gaffi, just letit get beat up plenty, maybe go play in the mud with it once in a while.......other than that looks fine.  Im gonna make a rebel pike weapon, pretty dull but unusual to see.
