Where can I get one and how much? I can't seem to find them on the web.

Thanks,

D.

Seen one on Ebay a while ago, have you tried Monsters in Motion, or Cult TV man.

Not sure where, but if you get one, I think you're gonna have to raid the pocketbook pretty heavily.

I figured that!! I found one but it is in Germany already built. No fun in that.

I guess we will just use what we have. We want to mount it to a stand. What is the best way to drill and mount a rod into the ship? I would think that we would need to insert some type f tube to give it some added support. Don't really know. Just looking for an easier way of doing it. This ship is ready for primer. so I guess now is the time to drill.

Thanks,

D.

If I were you, I'd drill the hole prior to assembling the fuselage if possible. Around the hole, put a short brass tube to hold the assembly and reinforce it with superglue, putty, etc. Then use the tube, brass or clear acrylic rod and insert it! However, I would post this in techniques section and you might get more insight.

wich x-wing is the 1/24th scale?  is it the original release from 77? if so it was rereleased once that I can think of. instead of the art style box art of the original release the rerelease used a photo from the movie on the box , and also came in a somewhat smaller box.

The AMT stuff is about 1/63rd. To the best of my knowledge, there are only 3 1/24th X-wings molded, but none of them are major manufacturers such as Revell, Amt, etc.

The older mold AMT X-wing I'm building looks closer to 1/48. I think I read somewhere it's 1/40 or 1/42.

Try this site for scales. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but at least he is pretty close.

I don't think they show my kit on there. Mine's definately not a snap-together and it has no resin parts.

 Edit to add:

Here's the one I have (this must be where I read it was 1/42), with the 2005 release box cover on the bottom:
