That digital camo paint really works!!!!! The "missing wing"/ weapon pylon just kind of blends in with the main body of the vessel. you can still make out the barrels of the weapon.

Do a search on my posts. I have a couple of other "kitbashes" posted, and you can see the "line of thinking" in the general similarity of my craft. It's a matter of "what does a vessel need ?", and "where should it be?", and how do I model it? The rest is "how does this look here", and if it looks good, glue it!

"Greeblies", if I'm not mistaken, is a term used by the special effects model builders for the add-on shapes. They are 1/48,1/72,1/96, and more scales....things that are very familiar(parts left over from kitbashes and other odds and ends), but when put in a different position are almost unrecognizable.

The process is in the junkbuild thread,/forums/1062393/ShowPost.aspx but is basically a three color paint job. Darkest first, mask off all the little squares/rectangles...lighter color next, mask off all the.......lightest color last. then remove the 3-5 hundred little bits of masking tape!!!
As mentioned, Wingzandthingz posted a photo of a jet fighter in the digital camo scheme, and it was intrigueing enough to try it. I may use the same technique to do the "aztek " pattern on the Kodiak I'm doing in the "Startrek group scratchbuild 09" thread.
