                        What scale of armour would work with the 1/144th Gundam kits?

                        Well, DML makes some armor in 1/144 (both WWII and modern eras)...so I'd say give those a shot!

                        15mm figure scale is close, railroad N scale is dead on. Either would have good accessories and scenery for 1/144 gundams.

                        There is a set available from HLJ with a couple of Type 61's along with some figures and other stuff. There is another post with info.
