This is it, is in 1/48 scale and the base was a Apache helicopter with major surgery and build-up. At the time I made this the only info available on this subject where the technical manuals on the hardware of the series, a good friend of mine was kind to lend me a couple of these for this project....a loooooooong time ago!

The base the model is shown is ugly, but it was a "working base" and I never got around to build and finish a decent one.

Holy crap! That's pretty awesome! Really good job, great build!

What are the models on the top of the page of the first link to your heli. They are the guys in the suit/battle tanks. What are those called? Those look sweeet!

You mean on my blog? Those are some Melusines from Maschinen Krieger, not models though, 1/35 figures

No problem, let me take it out of the box and take some pictures of it and will post them...please remember this was modified/scrachtbuilt 10 years ago and it would NEVER look as good as yours!!

I love it, the Hellhound has such a distinctive shape. Very nice subtle custom scheme.

Thanks Borg and Cosmic J

The cockpit is really bare, I scratchbuilt some details on the sides and the instrument panel, but not much can be seen with the pilots inside and the canopy in place.

You can take a look at some of the work in progress pics on my blog at http://xplan303ex.wordpress.com

As for build tips, be careful with the male-female pegs, they are reaaallly tight, might be a good idea to sand them or hog them out to make it easier to put things together, I had a few seam lines that cracked open just when putting two subassemblies together.

Thanks again!

Nice. I bought that kit just a few months ago, but haven't started on it yet. I thought the stock cockpit was a little bland, and wanted to add some detail to it. Any advice or build tips?
