SSM members are notoriously reliable.  I wouldn't worry.  I've had numerous transactions with them as both a buyer and seller.  I've never been disappointed.

I am very surprised tha tthe seller isn't asking for payment in advance... I would. Wink [;)]

I always use PayPal, though and pay via Credit Card and that way if PayPal screws me if I have a claim (which ultimately they will) I can always dipute it with my Credit Card company.

I got one of those ant farms from teh back of a comic book many many years ago....and it never showed up surprisingly enough.  To my moms dying day she said "remember the ant farm!"

I have practically spent the National Budget since that time on mail order...few problems...and if he is wiling to ship first, sounds like a good guy to me!

Well you're not crazy for worrying.  The Virago I ordered off EBay never got here and eventually (which was right past the deadline for me to file a complaint with paypal to get my money back) the seller stopper talking to me.

If at first you do succeed, try to hide your astonishment.

If he is sending them to you first, you should be OK. Just wait until you get them and then check them out. If the models aren't what he professed them to be, just send them back and say "no thanks". You're only out the return shipping cost.

If it's on the up and up, then that's a good price on those kits.

Im naturally cautious of buying stuff online from people... I was actacted via a starship modeler ad, by someone that has a academy starcraft marine and hydralist for sale.  We settled on 25$ for both and shipping.

He says he will send them to me before I have to pay, but Im still wary... am I just being silly?
