Ok - I went to sleep last night and I was thinking up some cool tricks for you - so I am thinking as follows:

1. Slightly shattered glass around the mono-eye (since its safety glass may be some spidering on the sides)

2. Blast type damage through the head on the top right side where you can see the internals and wiring and skeleton

3. Energy cable severed and wires poking out of both ends...

This is what I go so far - now I have to go ffind a spare Zaku head lol - glad I have some in my pile somewhere - stay tuned :)

I'd love it.  The damage would come from an AP round from the Ground type gundam's SMG (relative term) hitting from the front right side of the bottom of the neck

I guess i would depend on the kind of damage you want - laser burns or ammunition/explosive damage.

For both types of damage I would still use a central AL tube with main wires running from it and inside it.  then two-or three cervo motos with pistons coming out of it.  I heat up a screwdriver and carve up the surrounding metal to simulate burn - laser damage

If you want I can do a quick how-to on how i created this type of damage ;)

So definatly a Kaempfer.

I love the scratch bult damage ou did on the arm.  So let me ask, how would you do the bottom of the neck of the 1/35th Zaku II head, as if it were shot off?

You're welcome! Thank you much for sharing. Cool [8D]

I'm thinking that was perhaps a Kampfer that sacrificed his hand?

I liking it so far. Thumbs Up [tup]

Which kit is this? I had a little Geara Doga a few years back, but I messed it up. I've thought about trying again, and this kit looks much nicer than the one I tried.

My new WIP.  I only bought this kit to practice some new techniques and experiment - so I dont ruin the bigger, more expensive PG and MG kits.

Started out with the main weapon - its modified using different width aluminum stock, drilled for suppression wholes (although I hardly think those will be necessary in a plasma rifle - but they looked cool) and seams puttied

Painted, washed, decaled, shaded etc etc

the main barrell is "blued using Tamiya whethering masters

Now on to the main mech

First up - I tackled the shoulders.  I decided to give the shoulders a cast look by spraying it on low pressure from further away, allowing the brush to spit paint at it:

Came out ok - I think

Next I tackled the thrusters - painted buffing aluminum, then the baffle painted clear red and the outside given clear orange "burned" tints

This is how the thrusters and the shoulder look painted:

I like the heat staining - doesnt look too bad

While I was added I made up the torso, giving some new panel lines and details

I also started on the arms and decided to *** som evisual details to the forearms as these parts will be visible through the armor:

Finally, I tackled a fun little project involving the skirt - I scribed some new panel lines and details and decided to do a digital camo paint job.  Having never done one before, I think that it came out ok for a first try
