A good build day
Posted by ssgkopp on Monday, April 20, 2009 12:22 PM
Well today was a family build day.  My two girls and a boy from across the street asked me Saturday night if they could build some models(none have ever built a model before) so I opened up the stash and they picked their kits. So 0ne M8, one T26 and one Fine molds X-wing and they where off.

I even got some painting done and some decals put on the Raptor that has been a WIP for a time but also got some work done on a Fireball SG.  The SG will be standing on a cat walk with is leg propped up and his arm holding on to a railing with the pilot looking up in thought prior to a mission.

Both are painted with Tamiya paints which I am really learning to love.  These are only the second time I have uesed the paint and have to say it is so easy to use.

That's very generous of you to open up the stash.Don't know if I could do that.I do have a kiddie stash just in case.

Its was dangerous but I put my Resin kits off limits and then tried to find what each one was interested.  Surprising me was my girls wanted to do tanks and the neighbor boy wanted to do and X-wing. I figured it would be the other way around.

Isn't it, though? I just recently started using Tamiya paints myself, I initially avoided it because of the  poor bredth of their line, requiring a lot of mixing, but good gawd, they're so easy to use and clean up.
