YT-2400 References?
Posted by Kugai on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 7:36 PM

I think that's the name of the ship from Shadows of the Empire.  I've thought about building one for years and I think I've finally gotten to the point where I could do a decent job of kitbashing it starting later this year.  Does anyone have leads on some good illustrations of the thing so I can start more detailed scheming?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Are you refering to the Outrider?

Might want to look around Starship Modeler, I've seen it over there a few times, they even used to sell a kit of it a few years ago.

Thanks!  That's the one.

It's a bit different than I remembered, though.  Looks like it's gonna be a heckuva lot more work than I expected, parts from the Falcon won't be as useful as I thought.

Outrider's a 2400 actually.

Something I'd actually like to see is a build of a YT-2000 (Otana).

I believe it's already been done at least once.

Someone is also working on the one that looks like the Falcon cut in half.

the best sites to keep an eye on such types of models is Starship Modelers and Resin Illuminati.

Thanks for the correction.  Edited.

Where's the 2000 from?

This might help you some.

Make sure to hit the full size for the schematics.

I have some issues with the 2400 scematics and data. All reasonable signs point to it being a fast courier, not much better than half to two thirds the size of the Falcon. there's simply not much room for cargo of any appreciable bulk. I think Bob Brown's old page went into some detail on the dimensions and how it couldn't possibly hold much.
