Rebel Snowspeeder

A snowspeeder I started a long time ago that I pulled out to test some effects like battle damage and using pastels.  Not nearly as detailed as it should be on the interior, nor sporting any scratchbuilt details like in modelmaniac1967's thread, I decided to share it none-the-less...

The figures that came with the kit were trash, I think he did ok with what he had to work with. I wish someone would make an aftermarket resin figure for this kit... It would be greatly appreciated from us star wars modelers. I love the battle damage you did. I want to add battle damage to mine and get it painted before i lose interest. For your battle damage did you use a cutter bit in your dremel or a wire brush?

Well I tried to take shots at every angle so I'm not sure what else I would shoot that isn't already in the pics.  I also resize them to a maximum 600 pixel width to fit on my website but I do have the original pics which are very large.  Was there something in particular you wanted a better shot of?

Indeed, I painted them a while ago and when I pulled the model out recently to do the battle damage effects I didn't consider it worth it to try to add any detail to them because they're lacking to begin with.

Agreed, I wish I had the skill set to make some new details and figures for the interior as that's really the most disappointing thing about this model.  Thanks for your comments on the battle damage, I am publishing a guide on my site soon about the battle damage techniques I've compiled.  The dremel bit I love to use for damaging is this one:

Finemolds are due to release a 1/48 snowspeeder soon I think - now that should be good.

Great job there.

I really don't think it's necessary to spend fortunes on the Finecale stuff especially when something like this can be achieved using a standard kit.

Regards,

What scale should the figures be? since they are deformed, i've never looked for replacements.
