Space Seed
Posted by trekriffic on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 10:59 AM

This is my homage to the original Star Trek episode "Space Seed" completed back in December 2006. The Enterprise is from the 3 ship 1/1600 scale AMT Space Ship Set. The Botany Bay is a MicroMachine toy. Spent about 3-4 months working on this.

All comments welcome as always.

love it!!! the botany bay dy-100  is one of my favorite ships of all time!!

in fact i am finishing up an old vac form kit that i've had for years. i also pulled a rubber mold from the kit so i can make some copies and try some different style carriers for other scenarios.

Nicely done.

There are a couple larger kit's out there.

Sovereign Replicas 1/350 scale is now in the hands of Mike Salzo for possible sales by Fantastic Plastic.

1/2 Studio Scale SS Botany Bay mastered and released by Atomic City Models.

Thanks for the comments everyone !

There's a 1/1000 scale BB kit available as well:

The price is reasonable.  I've been tempted to get one and put it alongside a 1/1000 PL Enterprise. Too many other ships to built before that though.
