Revell Viper 1997 release question
Posted by M1 A1 A2 Tanker on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 12:08 PM

Hi

    All

Decided to build this kit today. But ran in to something funny. On the botton of the front of the fusalage there is a small round hole. At first I thought this was for the display stand, but nope its not. The very last step in the instruction shows a drawing like something is in that hole, but I can find no other piece for it.

So what do I do? Just fill it in?

Thanks

Scott

That was the hole for the "trigger" that launched a rubberband powered projectile out of the nose of the Viper. Just cut a round piece of sprue to fit the hole and then putty it over.

Thanks. Rob.

And glad to see I'm not the only armor guy exploring the "Dark Side!" Whistling [:-^]

I'm not exploring sci-fi, I've been building sci-fi kits since I was a young child in the late 60s-early 70s. Some of my first kits were the sci-fi models made by Aurora (Voyage to the Bottom of the Seas Flying Sub, Land of the Giants Spindrift) and the original AMT Star Trek kits.
