RX-178 Gundam Mark II A.E.U.G ver. - model BANDAI HGUC 1/144

Gundam mk. II was a prototype unit which designed by Titan before it was stealed by A.E.U.G. It was painted in blue color scheme before A.E.U.G change it to white. Lot's of pilot ever been control this mobile suite , one of them is Emma Sheen. :-)

Let's take a look for photo
= show off

zoom for some details

Last photo , I am proudly to annouce you a big size Gunze Sunyo color (500 CC). It is a limited product that I got from Japanese friend. He He ... just kidding

= Part assembling and modification

I cut off the power pipe-line and replaced it with metal rope which I find from stationary shop. I think it is too shine than real thing but overall it's OK.

All part was primed with mr. surface 1000 and colored with this step ...

White - surface 1000 ,gloss white ,preshading with intermediate grey and cover with gloss withe
Blue at chest - surface 1000  preshading with dark blue then cover with lighter blue
Red - surface 1000 ,white ,character yello ,preshading with wood brown plus little black then Madder red
Yellow - surface 1000 ,white ,prehsading with wood brown then character yellow
Black at thruster - surface 1000 preshading with black then overspray with dark gray + little blue

Both eyes was brushed with enamel color. For painting little area such as main camera and signal lights , I found it too hard so I use a small piece of post-it which I cut in square shape and stick it on.

Yellow vent was masked with Tamiya masking tape , I push it on masking tape on the cutting matt it creat a dimpimg line and cut it off with sharp art knife.

Both legs are a big problem for painting this kit becase 3 parts with different color was locked together.

I solve this problem by masked it before snap both piece of leg together. Masking was created by snack foil which cut off with the same shape as knee part.

Left and right cover was taked in place and use a masking tape wrap it around.

Penetrate an alumium foil at central and cut it at below so you can pull it up way when painting is finish.

First off welcome to the forum.

Youll fine you dont need to explain gundam much to the people here, I tend to do that for everyone, heh.  I give way more info needed.

This is a nice building, very nice painting, I Really like the dio to go with it, its hard to find thing in 1/144th scale.  Did you build and paint them or are they just stuck down?

The only criticism i can think of is change the arm/hand positions they look akward

Thank you ,  smeagol the vile for your usefull advice :-)

Small car and house are finished model which I find them at rail model shop. In fact it's N-scale that equal to 1/150 to 1/160 (only in Japan) but It is not too much out scale when place it with 1/144 Gundam.

I plan for add some decal and finised it with semi-gloss clear so I avoid to touch the model.

I promise to post more pics and more posting action if I finish it next time. :-)

I dont have anywhere aroud me to get Nscale stuff, which is why I havent done any gundam dios before.  You should paint them though, itd make it more your own and not just your kit with some stuff.

Sorry for using finished model with my work. My skill is not enought to cope with extra small model like N-scale model.

Thank you for your suggestion. :-)
