There have been some in the past.  I recall a vinyl kit of a Mad Cat in the distant past; ARII did a few kits from Macross (the designs were ripped off and used in the original Battle Tech games) years before Battle Tech came out.  I had a few of the FASA metal miniatures back when I could actually find real people to play the game. ^^

Yamato recently released some toys from Macross that look really good...

Defender

Tomahawk

Perhaps the new video game coming out will spawn some new kits, but I doubt it. *sigh*  I'm with you, I really wish they would make some kits from the games.

Yes... Tomahawk = Warhammer, Defender = Rifleman

I think those were my two favorite.

The old Imai(?) Macross 1/100 scale Tomahawk kit is currently avaliable boxed by Bandai.

The Tomahawk (Warhammer) and Defender (Rifleman) were available in 1/200 (Nitto) 1/100 (Arii/Imai) and 1/72 (Arii/Imai) scale kits. The "Tactical Pod Glaug" (Marauder ?) was also kitted in 1/100 by Imai) and 1/72 scale by Arii.

Bandai also put out some of the kits I believe.  Also there was Aoshima and a couple other companies that put out kits that were used for Battletech.  The series Dougram gave you the Battlemaster, Wolverine, Thunderbolt and a few others.  From Crusher Joe came the Locust and a couple others.

A couple years ago I found a Arii Monster at a contest and picked it up cheap.  This became the Behemoth or Stone Rhino.  The original design changed somewhat after Battledroids became Battletech.

Try Iron Wind Metals. They've been producing almost the entire range of BattleTech/MechWarrior miniatures for quite a few years now, taking over from Ral Partha/FASA. I have all the Clan Mechs, including the original designs and new resculpts. Also, I have Horizon's vinyl Mad Cat, Armorcast's Mad Cat and Vulture, and Ral Partha's museum scale Mad Cat, Vulture and Atlas. When Mechwarrior 4: Vengeance came out, a special Mad Cat slightly larger than the museum scale version was produced...and yes, I have that, too. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Fighting Pirannah Graphics produces the decals for Battletech minis.  They cover the innersphere, clans, periphery, and Solaris as well as various types of numbers, warning markings and more.  They print them on a solid sheet so you have to cut each one apart.  They are very thin and work well over the panels of the figures.  They also will make a set of larger decals for larger figures such as models as well as custom sets.  I had them make a set of Blood Spirit's knight emblem as well as clan mongoose.

HLJ has the 1:100 scale Tomahawk kit as well as the Yamato figure linked above, for you "Whammy" fans out there.  Not as detailed, with no open cockpit or missile bay options ( unless you want to customize ), but it's always an option.

I've got the 1/35 vinyl Mad Cat. Poor thing needs some repair and rehab, but it sure looked impressive on a desk.

I built one of those for my kid.  Fool that I was I put a cockpit into it using a 1/32 Russian K-36 ejection seat, replaced the front of the left missile pod with a new front with empty tubes and gave it a paint job of the Blood Spirits 1st Keshek with decals from Fighting Pirannah Graphics.

There was a fit roblem with the LRM pods and I never did get them lined up quite right.

I too built the Horizon Hobby MadCat when I had my tonsillectomy and didn't have much to do but lay there and recover. Finally got it all done, In fact I even filled the entire model with hot glue I had heated on the stove and slowly poured into it. It made a really solid and nice model, and huge too!

Then the morning train came by our house. We lived only about 50 yards or less from the train and it would shake the house even a little. Crappy rental! The vibration was just enough to shake the madcat off the computer tower it was sitting on and it nose dived into the ground and shattered into a ton of pieces. It was just to much work to put it back together. At least I have the pics of it.

Lucky I still have my armorcast madcat below that I built over one christmas. I even found a glass display case at Michaels to keep it in. Love this baby, i'll never part with it :)

If you like the older Battletech mechs now "unseen" you could look for the Macross Destroid kits in 1:200/1:100 and 1:72 released by Bandai/Imai/Arii etc

http://brianscache.com/unseen/

Here is mine, A 1st Federated Suns Armoured Cavalry Marauder 3028. The kit is the 1:200 Bandai/Testors Zentraedi Officers Pod from Macross (Robotech). I used Fighting Piranha decals.

Oh, man. Don't even mention it.

Usually I wouldn't even consider a $60+ model but about a year ago I bid well into $170+ for an armorcast Resin Mad Cat and lost. The winning bid was about $215 Surprise

Talk about a wanted subject. I loved the PC games and read few novels. I've found that what I don't like about gundams is they look too human and what I really want is a massive machine made for war.

I think 1/100 Defender and Phalanx are available at HLJ.
