That thing is absolutely awesome!!

Gotta admit a likely bias, though.  I liked the AC series games since I got the original for a Christmas present 12 years ago and have managed to get every sequel since ( except the one for PSP ).

I just wish they would make the individual parts available.  As it is, I'm going to have to wait until I work on my scratchbuilding skills to have models of the designs I use in the games.

Despite the setbacks, it still looks pretty good. The eye really pops out at you, and the colors accentuate the shapes well.

 More please.

Hakuheisen WIP

I've been working on this project for a while now: it's nearly complete at this point, though I did have a few problems - particularly part breakage on the white parts of the lower leg (which I hadn't glued down because I'd been planning to have them removable to access wiring...  That didn't work out so well so I've changed my wiring plans a bit) - as a result one leg's had to go back to the paint table for repairs...

Once the right leg is repainted, I want to do some weathering (I've done a fairly crappy wash on this model, and some paint chipping - that's about the limit of the weathering I've done) - possibly using pigment powders or something else...  I'm a bit concerned about using powders on this model at the moment, though: I expect to be handling this model quite a lot, actually, and I don't want to disturb the model's finish too easily...

The model was planned with lighting in the head and in all eight boosters (four on the back, four on the legs) - at present only the head is lit, and the wires that will connect the legs to the chest aren't even hooked up.  Thus, at the model show the head was lit with watch batteries, and thus the lights were barely visible...  Ultimately I want to set up the model with a nice base, and mount a battery pack in the base.

I undercoated this entire model with metallic paint and tried using the hairspray method to produce paint chipping - unfortunately, for some reason, it didn't work on most of the parts.  I think maybe I waited too long between spraying on the hairspray and attempting to chip it off...  Either that or I didn't use enough hairspray...  It's a bit frustrating.
