I think the original name in Japanese was Nut Cracker, impling that it "cracked" open armored suits in combat, but the name got garbled when translated.

 Another great build, Buddho. Now it just needs a cool base like your Falke. Cool [8D]

I saw an article about the kid who started the series and how he scratch built the originals back in the early 80s.  The Nutrocker started as a Puma armored car with strips of sheet plastic used to form the contours of its hull.
