There's always the Airfix kit... A bit less than half the size, but it's injection, and it's based on the new-series Dalek...

Yep, one of the benefits of vac-form.  :)  A kit this size can be quite light, cheap, and compact in its unbuilt form...

A while back a co-worker of mine gave me this kit: it's a 1:5 scale vacuum-formed Dalek made by Sevans...

Dalek project update

It's been a fun build so far.  I've never built a vacuum-form kit before, though I have done enough scratch building with sheet styrene to be able to deal with it.  In many ways it's the same sort of problem, at least when it comes to the lower body - building a hollow shape out of flat styrene panels...  The only difference is that someone else did the work of figuring out the proper size and shape of each panel...
