Here's a full shot (though not a very good one) of the entire figure. You can kind of tell the area I had to warm up and straighten. It's okay.... but could be better.

What I had done with regards to painting this display was to mask off the face and then continually dust the cloak area with flat black, then some grey primer, some flat white, and another dusting of flat black. I repeated these steps until I got the desired look of a cloth cloak. Then, I painted the face the proper colors, added some skin tones around the edges of the eyelids and mouth, and added a clear coat over the eyes to make them shine. After all that, I just painted the gloves and boots with various gloss blacks, detailed the handle of the saber, and slid it into his hands.

Well, I guess I'll try warming up some water and seeing if that will help.

Anyone remember those three Hasbro figures from Star Wars Episode 1? There wasn't much assembly, mostly just painting and installing the lightsabers. Well, when they came out, I got the itch to work on one and make it better than what they expected.

Here's a close-up of the work on the face and cloak:

Now, I had to pack all my stuff a few years ago and the lightsaber ended up with a bent tip. Does anyone have some tips on the best way to straighten out plastic parts? Is hot water still going to be the best method? I'd like to fix that part, or find some other way to make the lighted ends of a dual saber. Any help would be aprreciated, as this model was kind of special to me for the different techniques I used to help what was essentially a toy. Thanks in advance!
