This looks great.  I currently have this model along with a HUMVEE and F-86 Sabre waiting int he wings to eventually be finished... sometime this century.  I have been wondering how to go about doing the painting for all of the separate panels.

Current build: 1/48 Monogram A-1H & AMT Jedi Starfighter.

Completed:  1/48 Monogram/Revell P-61B, 1/32 Hasegawa F6F-5, 1/48 Hasegawa F-16C, 1/48 Revell Mig-21PFM, 1/48 Revell/Monogram AH-64A, Revell/Monogram 1/48 F-14D, AMT 1/420 USS Defiant, AMT 1/650(?) USS Enterprise, 1/72 Bandai VF-1J, AMT 1/537 USS Reliant, Academy 1/35 M1-A1 Abrams, Academy 1/48 F-86F30, Linbergh's USS Gato

Looks very nice!  I have had one of these in my stash for a while, it may be time to get it out!

What type/technique did you use on your washes?  The detail really jumps out.

Looking great! I'll be getting ready to jump into some Star Wars models before long, and your pics have definitely inspired me!

Thanks for the kind words guys, this has been a side subject for a long time now, I need to do a  life time of painting to get where I want so I can't guarantee an update but I will just post as it goes along.

KllK the  turbo lasers are in the kit and they are lovely. Its a great kit, I think REVELL Germany have put in some great tooling into their STARWARS range.

Did the kit come with the gun turrets ("Turbolasers")? If not, what are you going to use for them?

I did a build a few years ago of AMT/Ertl's Star Destroyer, and ended up using spare German Z-class guns for the Turbolaser turrets.

I'm something of a Star Wars geek, so whenever someone builds a Star Wars kit, it warms my heart. Great work.Toast

Well I finally got to take some shots of my Revell stardestroyer.

I got this for about €5 a couple of years ago and have been fiddeling with it ever since. I have spent quite a while doing the panels in acrylics but find the going tough as getting a decent finish (Flat) without brush strokes is annoying. Also having to try mix up different greys .................yeah thats boring.

THese few progress shots are all I have so far.

I going to aim for a finish close to the first one seen in theh opening of the movie, "REVENGE OF THE SITH"

Thanks for taking theh time to drop by, as always all comments welcome.

Terry.
