Detail Question for NX-01 Deflector grids / emmiters?
Posted by Big Jake on Sunday, March 28, 2010 9:01 PM

Maybe some one can help me on a detail question for the large NX-01. On the box art they show what I think are the deflector emmitters/grids.  These are darkened to contrast, are they drakened on the "real ship" used in the studio?  I don't know wether to use india ink to darken them or not. BTW I found what I consider to be just about the best ultra-small fine line marker from Fiber-castel 0.1mm  oh it gets in the groves real good.

Thanks

the grid would actually be that dish shaped thing at the front of the ship.

I don't think there was a "real" studio ship.  Everything I've read on it indicated it was all CG.  As for the color for the grid lines, I'm planning on using a dark gray for mine because I think black would have too much contrast and give it more of an "anime" look than realistic "Trek" look.
