Bandai M61 Semovente build
Posted by Neb on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 10:26 PM

Hi folks!

I've recently finished my bandai Semovente. I saw a build up at another site and just loved it----I scratch built a hull extension and mounted a mine plow from Trumpeter's new M1 Abrams 5 in 1 kit.

I call it the Semovente "al dente" (with teeth, or to the tooth) Hope you like it.

Awesome build! This is one of my absolute favorite non-suit Vehicles from the Gundam Universe.

You give it credit. Kudos.ToastBow Down

Thanks! I'll need to take better pictures----these were taken at the Wonderfest  Amazing model contest this May. The "white" splinter color is actually Camo Grey, and overall she's a lot more subdued and not so "in your face."

I've ordered a new Macro lens for my Canon, and when I get it I hope to post better pictures. Wink

Oh I likey!  I have seen this vehicle and really like the lines of it.  Just as you have done, this Big Bad Boy lends it's self to many mods.  Well done. Yes

Thanks guys!

I hope to have my new lens next week, and when I get back from vacation I'll take better pics in a more controlled environment.

Incidentally, I robbed the mine plow from Trumpeter's New M1 Abrams "5 in 1" kit. It would make a great donor kit for this sort of thing----It has the plow, the mine roller, parts to do a panther version...LOTS of greeblies! Big Smile

If this kit was more readily available, I'd buy another one just to try another "go nuts" weathering/paint scheme!Wink

Very impressive build and subject!

I may have to re-think my general non-interest in Gundam subjects.  Even if I don't get into the story and all, kits like this would be fun builds.

Yes Supurb!!

Wish there were some quality 1/35th scale models of the "blowers" from the Hammer's Slammers universe.  What I've seen doesn't impress me and my scratch building skills are pretty much zero.

Again, very nice build.
