1/144th FM Millenium Falcon size reference?
Posted by lexesbenz on Friday, May 28, 2010 1:37 AM

Does anyone have one of the next to a picture of soda or paint to give it any scale? I'm trying to decide if I want to buy one, but i don't want to spend the money and get something super tiny. I would appreciate it.

sure dont have a size ref, but even in 1/144 it will not be tiny. Small yes but not tiny.

Figure the 1/72 Finemolds kits of the TIE variants borders on tiny, with a cockpit ball the size of my thumb. If you were to reduce that to 1/2 its size, then compare how big the MF is to the size of a TIE...its's still going to be pretty decent size....AND it will fit on your shelf!

I think 1/144 will be a decent size model. HLJ lists it at 34 CM by 19CM. Much more shelf freindly.

Good points, I never even thought to downsize my Tie fighter and think of it that way. Thanks for clarifying things TI Much appreciated!!!

I hope it's bigger.

I have a 1/144 Narcissus that is almost 9 inches long and that ship is a fraction of the size of the Falcon.

Narcissus was a three man shuttle.....must have been larger in width than it appeared on screen.

I have the 45 hour, 9 disk set of the (at the time) Alien epic.  I loved seing the Nostromo on a forklift being moved around.

once the falcon comes in can you post up a photo of it next to another ship, such as the TIE or even a ruler, so we can see both how big it is and the level of detail they are able to capture?

Speaking of the Falcon, does anyone know what color red was used for the various different panels?
