N.S.E.A. Protector, Battle Damaged.
After I finished Iron Man, I was looking for a easy kit, something that I wouldnt need to spend a lot of time building it. Painting and finishing it on the other hand. I was in my local hobby shop when I found Pegasus Hobbies N.S.E.A. Protector. I started watching my copy of Galaxy Quest for detail shots and I saw that the Protector has a Aztec pattern. Movie Shots
I thought it would be cool to match a part from the movie, The part of the movie when thw Actors fought back. So I needed to match All of the battle damage. Last Movie Shot
I was trying to match the Aztec pattern from the movie but I couldnt quite make it all out, so I thought I would cheet. This is one of the prelite Star Trek kits that came out awile ago and I thought that the pattern looked kinda good on this kit
and I thought that it might look good on my kit. Boy was that a Big waste of time!
and then I painted it
After I saw the way it was I sanded it all off and started from scratch!
Its still the same two shades that I started with, Flat White and Light Gray. Oh yeah, I added a hole where the Rock creature went through the hull and took a few bad guys with him
To get the Aztec pattern I wanted I went and bought a 1/1000 scale Enterprise for the Decals, That I used them to make copys, I had to digiataly rmoved the windows and phasers, I obesely coulndnt use the saucer markings. But i did use patterns form the secondary hull and the warp pylons. I also used marking form my 1/350 th scale enterprise as well. I stiched these pictures together for a closer look, But I should have put the bridge back on From the back looking foward Last shot for now. Foward, Port side Thank You for Looking
