I took some photos last night of the Viper but they did not come out well. I dont seem to be blessed with photography skills.

I got the engine nacelle group built and seams filled with Mr. Surfacer then installed the lower fuselage tray. With the mods I have done the group as a completed unit will slip onto the forward fueselage section. I cut the front of the large peg in the belly tray down toa sharp 45 to accomodate this "slip-fit-snap" and still be able to get the landing gear mounted afterwards.

Ill get some different photos tonight.

I have started my second VIper MK II and based on what I learned from the first one I will make this one more modular to speed construction.

The engine nacelle structure was built up last night without the exhaust ducts nor the center engine insert, I also shimmed it where it meets the fuse aft of the canopy to help with filling later. The fin was mostly shimmed with stretched sprue and Ill hit that with some Mr. Surface 500 tonight.

I will be using a set of FOD covers on the engines since this will be in hanger maintenance. Ill go a bit further than I did with my first model and add the associated plumbing on the nacelles, as well as drill out the RCS and vector thrusters.

Last time I did not use the landing gear. This time I will but I plan to add it all after the assembly is done, so I will be modding the landing gear mount pillow blocks for positive location to be slipped in after assembly is complete and the lower fuse tray is mounted. Again, the wings had the positive mount J hooks cut down so they can be slid in at the end and locked in place. The great thing about that is, with the ehxuast hooks literallytrapping everything in place, and being able to add these last with the canopy, I can get positive mounting on the wings with the huge access hole.

Ill get some pics tonight if I can remember to and post them up.
