Koto 1/72 Hannibal in the House.

Today the "JGSDF Type97 Improved Labor Hannibal" kit arrived at the doorstep.

This kit represents the Military version(will do the UN version later on).

The it is made by Kotobukiya and is in 1/72 Scale, the mecha design comes from "Patlabor 2 the Movie" and is used by both the Military and the UN in the Movie

Currently snapping the kit to check for painting steps and possible areas where I want to add or replace details, as well as for posing when it goes onto the base.. Colour scheme for this kit is very simple(green) and thus I will combine the painting with the kits for the Macross GB.

Kit itself is standard Kotobukiya quality i.e. good fit, lots of small details as parts, etc. Will have Pics later on of the different sub-assemblies.

Here are some Teaser-pics from the Net.

1.) Miltiary Version:

2.) UN Version:

Should have pics tomorrow. Today is a day to snap plastic.

Cool beans Mad-Modeler.  I like both versions, but for some reason, the UN Patlabor just pops to me.  Look forward to this build. Alien

I've seen this kit in online catalogs and want to get one eventually for my Patlabor lineup ( even if it's nit the same scale ).

One thing I've been wondering, are the loint sleeves plastic or the soft vinyl covers like the Bandai kits?

Hip and shoulder sleeves are 2 plastic parts with a poly-caps inside, there are 2 sets for different poses.

Cockpit is well detailed, which surprised me and most parts are keyed so you can't even install a hand-hold the "wrong" way round.

Sorry, pics are delayed feeling bit under the weather.

P.S.: The only other patlabor kit that it is in scale to is the Resin kit of the 4-legged UN Labor from the movie opening.
