Universal Century Hard Graph Gundam Arm
Posted by MZ3 on Sunday, September 12, 2010 7:24 PM

So, it took me almost 3 years to finish this. I built the arm the day I got it, then it sat for months. I couldn't figure out what to do with it. Long story short, I saw some stupid kids in my neighborhood sprayed their names on a new wall and this idea popped into my head.

The kid is from the Hard Gragh Cyclops set, the Gundam arm is from the Anti-MS Squad set. The concrete chips are from my back patio.

I had to make some small mods to the kid. His head was looking up, so I sanded the neck until it was looking straight ahead. I made a new left arm for him. The arm and hand are Milliput and the spray can is plastic nub left from a Dragon kit.

 It's 1/35 scale.

Very nice Build/Vignette.

Got to say though got more of a DUST/SF3D feel to it than Gundam. Me likey.

It looks quite good, I really like it.  This is the kind of thing that armor guys need to see to get them to start giving us more respect.

Being an Armor and a Gundam/scifi guy, I know exactly what you are talking about.

smeagol i read this and thought too myself, why do I need a armor or for that matter anyone to respect my models.  I respect the fact I can afford their over priced purchase price, I can respect the thought and time that it takes to go from drawing board to kit on self and heck I can even respect the poor sod @ local HS that has to put up w/all the bullCensored he has to deal with, but what I do not respect is elitism.  And if one thinks the kits as we build do not live up too their ideas, then I sure do not want respect nor for that matter, anything from that self centered snob.  Just my 2 cents worth.

Now as too this most wonderful, well thought out, meticulous build, thought captured in 3 dimensional effect, my hat off to you sir.  Very impressive and I love it.  I disagree, too me I feel sorry for the Gundam who has lost this battle.  Effective, very effective build.  Nice weathering too I might add.

I am with GM.

Why build to get a certain groups recognition, the build is great as it is.

BTW, I can think of a bunch of SF/Gundam groups that would rip the build to shreds worse than the armor guys would.
