Clever idea, I like it.  The photos could be larger though.

Is that the Gort wind up toy? I bought that for my dad a while ago... one of the best "cerebral" sci-fi flicks of the 50's. Instant classic!I really like waht I see though!

This is soooo cool.  Neat idea and the models look great.  I liked the Gort the best.

The answer to your inquiry "I  suppose that I will be seeing  things as this"  is yes and no. If you read my first post all these "secret squirrel" photos are from the 1950's, so "no" you won't see "these" particular things in an operational mode. But "yes" you can view them if you take the Area 51 tour of the "Top Secret" museum located on the base. This month's museum theme is "Rock and Roll Elvis, Swanson metal tray  TV dinners, Muntz big 22" screen televisions, small Japanese transistor radios, tail fins on GM cars and large space robots on loan from the planet Zoron". You'll note all these 1950 era break through technology items were derived from back enginnering UFO parts. I mean how else do you explain Elvis?  By the way the Air Force refuses to admit the Area 51 museum even exists, good luck finding it....I have discount admission coupons.

Now I wish I had gotten a better look at the U.F.O. we had at U-Tapao back in 72.  Maybe I'd recognize something in some up comming photos.

LOL! You're welcome, I think. I can't tell if that's honesty or hyperbole, sincerity or sarcasm. Either way, I think I've found my new sig line! Big Smile

I can't tell you how happy I am to see Gort AND an Edsel in the same diorama!

Well done!

Mr. Usher

My hat is off to you sir!

You're the only person to catch the "symbolism" of the Edsel Citation and Gort in the same frame, no wonder you're the man in charge of this modeling "vox pop".  It takes a sharp eye to pick out a 1958 Edsel. Or maybe you're  just old like me and remember someone who owned one back in the day....

Eventually I'll post a picture of the the real subject of the  Area 51 hanger. Maybe tomorrow, weather permitting.

"Travel near and far in your Edsel car

America is waiting  for you to call"....

If a modeler wanted to be evil a set of grainy black and white, slightly out of focus pictures of things like this or saucer type models and infer it was pictures from an Area 51 hanger and just post it somewhere The UFO groups would go nuts! However, truth is stranger than fiction. Many years ago a modeler who was very good at building models took a photo of his SR-71 Blackbird on a base he made. The picture’s location was at the air base he was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base. He, or someone, said a real SR-71 had made an emergency landing at the base as a joke, “see here is a picture of it”. Next thing you know everything is starting to bust at the seams because someone up the ranks wants to know why there were no security guards around the plane and why is it sitting out side!!! Serious, but funny. Magoo

I forgot to mention that the person who built the SR-71 model had to tell the upper echelon it was his model.
