yep! 100%. This was my first attempt at doing it and my first model project in 20yrs. :) It's a wood base, then covered in styrene. It's hand painted too. This project was all about getting back into the hobby, learning some new tricks and getting back to basics.

That IS a nice looking base. Totally scratchbuilt?

Well, this started out as part of the last Star Wars GB but sadly I didn't get it done in time. Between work and online classes etc...I just got busy. My project is a Tie Interceptor w/ scratch built Death Star base. The Tie is down to paint and tonight I finally got some paint applied to the base, still needs a little work but at least I made some progress. So...here it is for now...

 

..now I think I got the pics loaded right.
