Thanks for the inspiration.

I just found a prime condition wireless mouse while bike riding.

Good excuse for me to rummage thru my spares stash !

Yes, the Melange Snooper (name invented by me) is a probing device used to detect and report, in the vast deserts of Arrakis, areas with significative amounts of Melange, the most  valuable spice / drug  in the universe.

The usage of that substance makes the eyes to turn progressively blue (the eyes of Ishbad), hence the eyes of the pilot!

Thansks for the comments!

WOW!  That thing is something else indeed.  I swear if it had an air plenum it would look like some thing out of Hammer's Slammers.  Wonderful job!

Most impressive, Barruel, in all aspects.

Based on the thread title, is this something from Frank Hebert's series? I read 'Dune'........in 1985. It's been awhile, and I never read any of the other books in the series, but the term Melange is telling me a there's a connection.

This is very nice. Goes to show what can be done when a fertile imagination is melded with great modelling skills. Well done!

I agree with the Baron, this has to get in the magazine, be a great article about scratch building, which hardly ever comes up in the mag. this is just a very fantastic work of art that needs to be shared with the masses. It just blows me away the ingenuity and final product. Very nice indeed!

WOW!   I'm even more impressed, seeing the finished model.  It looks just great!  I don't know if you compete, but that would be a contest winner.  But even if not, this is a build that ought to be published in the online gallery and in the mag.  I think it would make a great subject for a feature, too.

Best regards,

Brad

Excellent imagination!

Your scratch built space Snooper is looking awesome!

Now what are you going to build out of that old Atari 2600?

Hi everybody

This is what happens when your PC mouse goes bad...

A few add-ons later...

With some primer for additional texture...

And with a little color....

Now it is time for some markings...

And that is all for now. The final weathering stage shall follow shortly!
