Z'GOK
Posted by DrShrinker on Thursday, March 3, 2011 9:12 PM

This is my first Gundam model. I got a bunch of old kits off e-bay thinking i'd rebuild a few and use the rest for kit bash stuff. There was two i really liked and here is the first one.

before:

I added a few things here and there on the body and went with a color /decal scheme of my own. My air brush died before i could put a final flat coat on it but i took some pics anyway. The pics are not the greatest but its a pretty old camera and the lighting is poor, i tried it with and without a flash. /shrug

after:

Thanks for lookin.

I've got a Deathscythe kit from Gundam Wing.  My son gave to me about 10 years ago.  I need to give it a try.

I'm not a big fan of Gundam but I do love the Z'GOK. A buddy of mine and hardcore Gundam-head painted one up to resemble the Russian Navy uniform with the blue and white stripes. It was sharp!

Thanks for lookin guys. Before getting these old kits a short while back i didnt even know what a Z'GOK was, but he became my favorite quickly. I think i'll look around for a more modern version of the kit after i fix my airbrush.

The Z'Gok looks great. Cool paint job and nicely done weathering. Is that the 1/144 kit?

Its a nice kit.  Thats the HGUC 1/144 Char's Zgok.  Its not a bad kit for it's age.

You did a nice job though you didnt paint the mono eye.

would be my suggestion to you if you want to do another.  Good kit, larger more room for detailing.

MAJ, your son probably gave you one of those OLD gundam wing kits.  They were not high quality, more like toys for kids to put together and play with.

There is a new version of that death scythe design that just came out, here.  http://www.gundamstoreandmore.com/ban964564.html
