I know we are still a month out, but I thought we would have more people signed up by now.  If you are attending WonderFest and you can spare an hour, please consider signing up.  It's well worth your time....

Make-N-Take Volunteers NEEDED
Posted by rossjr on Monday, April 4, 2011 12:51 PM

Like last year Sue M and myself will be runnnig the Make-N-Take (MnT) at WonderFest this year. This is a great opportunity to help introduce people to our hobby and walk away with a postive experience. The way it works is that our sponsor (Moebius) has provided us with kits to use free of charge to people that want to give our hobby a try. The new modeler selects a kit and we pair them up with a volunteer who sits down and guides them through constuction of the kit. While we don't do or provide paint, nor do we assist with decals, the new modeler can walk away with a complete constructed model. This can be a rewarding experience for both the new modeler and the volunteer!

The MnT is on both Saturday and Sunday and begins at 10am and runs until 5pm. We run the MnT with the idea of have 4-6 volunteers take a shift or two or three... Each shift is an hour. Please let sign up on this thread if you are willing to take a shift. We will need your name (real name), which Day you would like to volunteer on, what time you'd like to start and how many shifts you'd like to sign up for.

Sue and I would like to extend a special challenge to many of the clubs or groups out there attending to see who can get the highest percentage of participation.

Thanks in advance and let either Sue or I know if you have any questions. We appreciated your participation!
