Thanks for the link semeagol that really helps. I’ll be ordering those decals pretty soon.

I’ve been building Gundam off and on since about 2004 or so. A few years back I had a rather large collection but ended up selling most of them for a guitar. Now I’m left with a dozen or so kits that are half built. I’m kicking around ordering some new ones.

Uh, what have a built? Let me think a lot of my built stuff is boxed up. I’ve built the Gyan, Z’Gok, Zeong, Gouf; I think Haman Karn’s Qubeley and a Gelgoog Marine all 1/144 HGUC. That’s all I can remember. Right now I’m working the Qubeley MK.II, CGUE and a Zudah. I’ll post pictures of those later.

SLW 45 thanks!

potchip I actually airbrushed the colors on. Some of the smaller parts I did brush paint with Tamiya. I just make sure that I use Tamiya’s brand of thinner and that seems to work aright. But for large parts I won't even try brush painting.

I'm most amazed at.."How did you manage to brush paint Tamiya acrylics"? Mine dries, literally on my brush the moment I raise it out of the bottle.

Because bandai's kits are for two groups of people.  The serious builder who wants to paint, and for the kids who want toys.

I looked for those decals im surprised I could not find them, I could have sworn they had them.  none the less Im going to give you this link here

http://www.gundamstoreandmore.com/gundam.html

Best place in the US for getting gundam kits, also

http://www.samueldecal.com/

for getting custom decals for your kits.  Both are great stores,

EDIT: on Samuel Decal under gundam seed, in 1/144

so how long have you been building gundam? what have you built so far?

Ron thanks! Guess you can tell I'm a fan of Metal Gear Solid huh?

smeagol thanks, I really really hate using the stickers. But I can't find anything like the wolf logo thing to replace it. The camera really brings out the edges of the sticker. In person it doesn't look so bad. It puzzles me why Bandai can make such nice models and not include decals Hmm About the head being off, you're right. I just looked at the instructions and I forgot to paint two of the horns Embarrassed

Nice job, I like the finish.  I would suggest against using stickers, instead grab some of the bandai water slide decals.

Also something looks odd about the head, im not sure what but something seems off with the design...

Strike Rouge + IWSP

This is the 1/144 HG Strike Rouge with IWSP from Gundam Seed. I started working on this kit a few years back. Laid down the base coat, and for whatever reason never got back to it. A few weeks ago I decided to pull the kit out of the box and finish it. After doing in inventory I found out a few parts were missing from the IWSP pack. I really didn’t care to scratch some new parts, so I just finished it as best I could. The color scheme is custom made with Tamiya acrylics. Now that I look back on it wish I would’ve filled the seams on the leg armor. Any way time for pictures.
