Looks a lot like a 'Loknar' (sp?) class frigate from I think the FASA Trek wargame except for the sensor dish, weapons pod, or whatever it is over the warp nacelles.

The is is a kit bash of a starship modeler kit factory ship (perimeter action starship).. I bought one of the last ones, (it is on line on this sight) built it and though I could do better.  I decided that a perimeter ship was much the same as a destroyer durring ww2.  that ship was a picket destroyer, thus using radar to warn the fleet.   since I have well over a dozen engines, i'll be busy for quite a while.    I  took a etching of the kit factory ships hull and went wild from there.  I had to remove the roto dome because it was crooked.  I releveled it, then added 2 pieces of .060 sheet styrene.  as it sits,  I will paint it in overall grey.  i'll use stick on numbers and letters, then paint it overall a very dark charcole grey.  Once the masked letters are removed, ill use stock decals  then seal it.  sll

This ship is from the polar lights tos  Enterprise kit.  It is about 10 inches long.  As for paint,  I am still building  and adjusting it's final form.   Paint is later.  I have just about picked out the colors.  If I use standad spray paint, i'll buy it.  if I get my air brush out of storage,  i'll mix my own.

Whoops! Well a Loknar looks sorta like that.

Cool idea, I like the idea of the big sensor system. Looking forward to seeing more work on her. Yes

well, today i was in the hospital all day doing tests.  i am goind to die,  but they cant say when.  so i should post again sometime soon.  as for the model,  i had to remove the dome.  ill put in an alignment pin and finish the ship without the dome.  then i'll put the dome over the pin and glue it in place over the pin and have done with itoms.

ok, just to fill in the spaces.   i bought one of the last perimeter action starship models from starship modeler kit factory.    i built it as stated on the directions.  that is also posted.   then i decided that i didn't like it.  normally i would have delt with this little with several m-80s.  but i was fresh out.  so being a otherwise semi normal model builder, i decided that i could build better.  to me a perimeter action ship is a scout,  like the picket destroyers of ww2 fame.  i took the upper primary hull, and 2 complete engines from my left overs.  i scratched the secondary hull from .40 and .60 styrene sheets.  i liked the hull shape, so it stayed.  i decided that i needed somthing more.  i remembered when i parked a navy gruman hawk eye aircraft. i liked the rotating radar dish, so i built one, again out of styrene sheets.  i glued it toether, then found out that i missed the mounting surface by about 2 degrees.  i sawed the radar off and rebuilt the dorsal.  this time i aligned the dome mount with a spirit level.  once that was in the bubble. I LET IT DRY. so far, this is the post you see.   i let it sit for about a month.  yesterdat i finished painting the hull.  i will start decaling it soon

probably the problem is that you put the finished pictures on first page  now i see it.

when someone looks at the new reply on the post, rarely look again at the first page, included me .

same here. When you just add pics to the first post its just an edit and i dont think the site shows that the thread has new information on it. or just add a post saying you added new pics to the first page. /shrug

For the record i like your kit bashes but i dont always have much to say.( as you can see by my enormous post count.) would still like to see a pic of your entire Star Fleet, it sounds impressive.

Build for yourself anyway man, the hobby should be relaxing, as well as sharing your builds.

btw, i dont think Gundam is very popular here, nor sci-fi in general. Stick out tongue

Yeah, if you think transporting tribbles to their engine room ticked the Klinks off, imagine the response you'd get to shooting a few feral Teddy Ruxpins out the torp launchers at 'em.
