Spock vs 3 Headed Snake
Posted by Gerry on Thursday, May 26, 2011 5:24 PM

My first figure model I think I did okay with the flesh tones. They are too suble but I was overcautions blending. Next time I will know to use more contrast for the naked eye. But under a magnifying glass he looks very healthy.

Spock would not fire on a living creature without cause....so I gave him a reason. Note what's at spocks feet.

The sand is just sand glued to the base. The bushes are trees from a small diarama kit I had laying around.

yes, very nice. the additional touches really add to the scene, although the rocks (where spock's foot is) could be painted would look better. i agree it could use more contrast on his skin, but also for the snake too, maybe a darker yellow wash over his underside to add depths to his creases there. the severed arm is a good addition and adds to the story.

Very cool! Nice detail painting on the hydra and like the idea of the poor old redshirt's arm and the extra detail you did on the exposed bone and muscles.
