Beautiful build. I agree, this is a ship that no one gets tired of seeing or doing over and over.

Love the detailing overall but really in your cockpit. well done.

What's next? Darth Vader's ship chasing him?

Way to make the old kit look terrific! I have one of these sitting, half-completed, in my stash. After seeing yours, I may have to finish it...

Cheers, Aaron

nice, nicely subdued and i like the more animated look of Luke vs. the straight ahead stare.

If you aren't having fun, you're doing it wrong! Build to please yourself and they will flame you every time!

Hello! Toast

here is my 1:43 AMT X-Wing fighter, I have wanted to build this kit for a long time and throughly enjoyed every minute of it. This build was fun!

I added a few modifications including:

Scratch built internal panels for the wings.

Hollowed out and reconstructed the photon torpedo tubes.

Built a new pilot figure using the OOB figure as a base.

Added some spare P/E brass to spruce up the cockpit.

Drilled out the blaster muzzle tubes.

I took the kit display stand and cut it down to a more manageable size, then mounted it on a home made display base.

Hope you like what I did, here are some pics.....................
