Cool, I'd seen that episode when it first aired and forgotten about it. Very nice!

If only you had a Tom Paris figure to go with it Hmm

Star Trek 37 pickup

The 37s
i decided the truck featured in ST:Voyager episode 'The 37s' . unfortunately, no model of the 36 ford pickup is available, but revell has a beautiful 37 ford pickup.

The episode has the crew of Voyager find this truck floating in space, which leads them to a group of people that were kidnapped from Earth in 1937.

The truck is presented in the episode as a dirty, maybe rusty old vehicle, but they were kidnapped in 1937, so the truck probably should have been brand new, but then again, they say it's been floating in space for 300 years, so maybe the exposure to radiation caused the paint to look flat? (i imagine the vacuum and -300 degrees would play havok with the cooling and brake systems).

it's built box-stock, but i added acrylic weathering paints, which also took the gloss off the paint (quite nicely). This kit went together smoothly, and now i think i should have spent some time detailing the flathead engine.

The base is a left-over, i painted it in voyager's colours... primer grey and galmet beige paint.
