He' saying the 22" ship is 1/500 scale (bigger) and the 18" ship is 1/650 (smaller). For its time, the cut away Enterprise was pretty neat. I tried to build a non-cut away version out of one, but it did not look too good.

Paulbo

There were several issues of the Cut-Away that were mis-marked as 1/650 scale - it's actually 1/500 scale. (The old 18" Enterprise is 1/650 scale.)

Are you sure about those numbers? The 18" should be the larger scale number and the 22" the smaller. As in 1/10 is bigger than 1/100th. So the 500 could not be smaller than the 650.

Of course, this is really a trivial point hardly worth mentioning. Forget I said anything.

I like the paragrafix!

I have the AMT ERTL 1701 cut-away; but it is 1/650 scale. Will this PE set work for me?

Thanks
