Hi Gammera, Thanks for dropping by. I like the blue scheme on the Stellar Envoy, something kind of different. The cut away falcon kit that I have will be the standard looking falcon.

Hi SWSteve and welcome to the forums! I agree it is to thick but I really did not feel like trimming it down. Appreciate the compliment on the paint job, I was happy with the results. Hope you can get one of those 1/144 falcons, still a little pricey for me tho.

A fine build here with this snap Falcon...it's not a bad kit really but suffers the same problem as the MPC and AMT/ERTL versions in that the ship is too thick.

The paint job is excellent mate, really like it. I have to attempt a Falcon build in the future as I have my beady eyes on the 1/144 scale ship off ebay..

Hercmech and Bish, I appreciate you guys taking a look. Bish I think we would all like that FM kit, but as you said it's way out of my range. Even that 1/144 kit is pricey.

OctaneOrange, Thanks for looking in, the scheme is for the Stellar Envoy or at least my version of it. There are some references to it on line. As for carrying cargo the stock version of the YT-1300f (for freight) had 3 or four cargo holds. They were not that big but this is a light freighter. The P (passenger) version had the holds converted to 3 passenger state rooms for a total of 9 passengers plus a lounge area. the Millenium Falcon, if memory serves me, retained two cargo areas plus hidden smuggling compartments and crew quarters.

i imagine it picked up a shipping container between the mandibles and pushed it along. kinda like the Nostromo tows that big refinery. That explains why the cockpit is off to the side.

Millenium Falcon is all about the history of the freighter.The ending sucked,but overall a good read.

Whoa, I thought the Falcon only to be about 60 yrs old, 160 yrs is old. No wonder everyone that saw it put it down. Still a nice desig]n and if it works then don't mess with it. I'd like to try and find that book all my info came from wookiepedia. Thanks for the info Klik and for stopping by.

If you want to know all about the Falcon, from its very beginning (about 160 years before Han had her), the book Millenium Falcon is great read.

[interesting note, according to that book: the Stellar Envoy had smaller 'prongs' on the front than the Falcon. It crashed into another ship, and was rebuilt with parts from a later version of the YT-1300 (a model P) to get the larger 'prongs', and eventually, after several owners, was renamed the Falcon. The tribal war paint was used by a nomadic tribe that the owner/pilot helped defend from a group of stormtroopers. I don't recall if the travelling circus gave it any fancy custom paint job. The lower turret wasn't standard, and was added shortly before Han owned her.]

That being said, your model is a wonderfully well done. Keep up the great work!

The Falcon also sported some kind of tribal paint scheme for a while.Unfortunately the book I read didn't go into a whole lot of detail about it.

    There is really alot of choices out there. I read that the Falcon was at one time in the service of a traveling circus. I could just imagine the livery one could come up for that. Thanks for taking an interest in mine.

Things just went from there and before I knew it she was finished. So here is the finale.Hope you like it!

I have two gun barrels that got knocked off the underside turret. I'll need to get some more supplies from work to fix that, so not until Monday. Other than that it is done and I hope you guys/gals like her. Like I said it's not a Fine Molds kit, but as far as snap tite it's not to bad. I'm sure a better scratch builder would be able to do it justice.
