sci fi drag racing
Posted by DrShrinker on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 10:11 PM

I was watching an anime called RedLine. Super cool, completely drawn by hand, weird sci fi-ish racing movie. I really enjoyed it. Right after watching it went looking for kits. Didnt find any. so i went for a kit bash. It started with parts from a gundam, some old toy motorcycle and that Star Trek Kazon vessel that every one is given to by a friend because your friend knows you build models and see's it for a few bucks at a garage sale, not knowing the kit sucks but you are gracious and accepting anyway.

Not many in progress shots.

I see a few things i missed after i took these next pics, so consider it about 97% complete.

Very, very cool, Doc!

I'm not sure how the driver will be able to exhale without a windscreen, but very, very cool. :)

Kind of a pod racer look to it, I like it.

Excellent use of that Kazon kit - I have one of those too - seems it may eventually serve a purpose after all.

Nice looking bash.

Thanks all. It was a fun build. I'm running low on "stuff" for another project, so i might actually build a kit. =P

I love the details, it looks very purposefull, not like random greebles.

And the whole model is well balanced in its looks/shape.

Looks good, it just needs a stand to give it a hover look.

Very cool but it reminds me more of a Reaver ship from "Serenity"
