Amen to that! It gave me a sick feeling in pit of my stomach. Now that I think of it, that was the most tragic death I've ever seen on the silver screen.

I heard it said at the time that the destruction of the Enterprise was the biggest "movie hush" in history. Speackeless. Actually the destruction of the Enterprise and the death of Optimus Prime in Transformers the Movie were two of the most trgic for me. There is a gaming and model shop in Atlanta, Georgia called "The War Room" and the owner has the full size AMT movie Enterprise done in this way. It's breathtaking just as this is!Bow [bow]

Welcome Trekkie! I agree!

That's really cool. I think that damaged starships have a certain quality of heroism to them.

Amazing considering its 1/2500th scale. I think I would go nuts in the process, or at least slice off a finger or two!

Anybody seen this yet? http://members.fortunecity.com/msfm/mike_s/damaged-1701-ms.htm

That takes dedication and a lot of patience. Mike did a wonderful job. There's alot of other excellent ships on the same site, too.
